Privacy Policy
Effective 12 October 2026
Syncday is run by Jozue Mazur, a sole trader registered in the Czech Trade Licensing Register, ID No. (IČO) 23665271, Oldřichovice 184, 739 61 Třinec, Czech Republic ("we"), who is the controller of your personal data. You can reach us at [email protected].
In short: we keep only what Syncday needs to sync your plans and share them with the people you choose. No ads, no tracking, no selling of data, no analytics SDKs.
What we keep
- Account — your email address, the name you show to groups, an optional profile photo, and a password hash or the identifier Sign in with Apple gives us.
- Your content — schedules, activities, habits and their logs, notes, groups and their members, invitations and replies, and your app settings.
- Device — a push notification token for each signed-in iPhone and a random device identifier used to keep sign-ins apart.
- Subscription — whether you have Syncday Pro. Payment is handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
- Technical logs — short-lived server logs (time, address path and status of requests, never their contents) used to keep the service running and secure.
Why we keep it
To provide the service you asked for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): syncing your data between devices, sharing with your groups, reminders and notifications, and account emails such as address confirmation, password reset and group invitations. To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)). We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare — servers and profile photo storage.
- Neon — the database.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notifications and App Store payments.
- RevenueCat — checks your subscription status, identified only by a random account id.
- Resend — delivers account emails.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; they do so under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Who else sees your content
Only the members of the groups you join, and only what you share with those groups: your name, photo and the plans, notes and replies you post there. Anything you don't share stays private to your account.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account), your email, name, photo, password, sign-ins, push tokens and private content are erased, and your Sign in with Apple link is revoked. Groups you own are deleted for everyone in them, and what you added to other groups is taken out of them. Things deleted from shared groups are kept as hidden records so that every member's iPhone learns they are gone. Database backups roll over and are gone within 30 days.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
Children
Syncday is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
